Getting some serious air in the alps
One of the great things about running a chalet in the Alps is the many freebies you can pick up. Lots of restaurant's offer us free meals if we send our guests there, we get free ski hire for the season and the occasional free drink at the local bar but the best one we have got so far is a tandem para-gliding jump “pour gratuit”!
It was a little nerve racking taking off with a pair of ski's strapped on but once we took off the views were awesome. Arnout, our local french para-gliding rep was a big fan of ensuring that the surrounding skiers could see the glider and sent both em and i on numerous swoops to within 15 feet of the skiers and boarders on the piste, while Em actually touched down on the snow several times during her flight. Great fun and strangely peaceful, that was until he gave us the controls to have a steer!
Everything else has been pretty good. We just had our friendliest set of guests yet (apart from Adrian, Michelle and Jen of course!) and we have been enjoying our new found freedom after finally finishing 24. We are still getting over the fact that Nina was the dirty mole, who would have thought!
Below are a few piccies from our para-gliding adventures.

Paragliding for free on a perfectly sunny Wednesday lunchtime, it doesnt get much better than this!
